There is very little in way of good beaches around where we live, which is fine for this hearty family. All we really need is a small space to lay out a blanket and a bright yellow kayak. Never mind the rocks, the slime, and the smell of Deer Creek. We had all we needed. Sunscreen, fresh grapes, and a little life jacket for the worlds best sport. All he really wanted to do was toss rocks into the water and shovel along the dirt with his bulldozer. However, he consented to a couple of rides in the kayak and really did love it. It got a little chill when the wind kicked up, but we simply collapsed the canopy and stuck it out. That might explain my lobster skin sunburn, but the other part might be my lack of sunscreen. Either way, hello beach and hello summer. We got you!
