Mixing Up Some Fun

This kid is getting pretty good at entertaining himself. I am super pleased, don't get me wrong, it is just the toys he chooses that has be slightly flummoxed. Forget about the fancy airplane that sings and lights up. Who cares about the wooden hammer and pegs. We don't need the blocks or Legos to stack and re-stack. All this kid really wants to do is mix air around in his bowl with a plastic spoon. 

Honestly he could go at it for an hour without getting bored. He will saunter around the house, pants falling off his bottom, stirring that spoon in that bowl. I don't know what he is concocting, but it sure must be a riot. Every so often he will sample is imaginary batter and go right back to mixing. He will talk while he does it too, and if you are lucky he will share. Needless to say, I have pretty much stopped purchasing toys for the time being. Bowls and spoons though, we could probably use a few more of those.
