Week three and we are starting to get a solid routine down. Our morning usually starts around 4 a.m. We wake up again at 8 a.m. Most of these wakings include a dirty diaper and a twenty minute breastfast. Then it is back to bed for K.B. and his mommy. We usually decide to finally start the day around 10 a.m. I get to hop in the shower because Superman has exceptional FMLA leave. He gets to be home for 12 whole weeks. I love it because this means I get a lengthy shower every day. Once we are all dressed we usually spend the rest of the day hanging around the house. We migrate from the bedroom to the living room and the kitchen. Sometime in the afternoon we eat lunch. We take naps. We listen to audiobooks, watch some of our favorite shows, and will usually pop in a movie around dinner time. We all hit the sack around 8 p.m. and then wake up around 10 p.m. for a long and wakeful stint. This is where we try to entertain baby and keep him up so he will sleep until 4 a.m. and we can start the routine all over again.
Papa gets time in the garage, mama gets time out of the house to get errands done. All in all we are loving this stage of parenthood. We have also taken K.B. on several outings. We have visited his LaLa, his G.G., his uncle and aunt, and the Doc. I love hooking him up in the car seat and breaking out of dodge. He is so good and so quite most of the time.
