Writer’s Block: Mirror Check

I am recommitting to write more on this family blog and found a site that offers up daily ideas if you are feeling a little bit of writer's block. I love the questions they ask and love to explore them, figuring out how they apply in my own life. So here it is, a new addition to the blog called "Writer's Block."

If someone asked you to write yourself descriptively what would you write?

London Shea Gygi Schade is a moderately tall and regularly shaped woman who is twenty something. Twenty-four? Her eyes are brown and her ears are in no way crooked. Her nose is just the right size and shape. The only thing she really doesn't like about herself is her smile. Even after a tragic span in high school with brace face and apple abstinence, they are still not as straight as she would like. Her retainer was just tightened, and that just gives her headaches. Her retainer is glow in the dark orange, in case you wondered. Her hair is a dark blond verging on the edge of brownhood, hanging just past her chin. Lately something about her tummy keeps getting rounder and rounder, which she is happy about. However, her hips getting rounder and rounder, not so happy.

This girl is an adventurer at heart and is always looking for something new and exciting to do. Hiking, swimming, and snoozing are some of her favorite outdoor past times. As far as other hobbies: reading, writing, makin' up stories, walking the dog, playing games, planning events, and just being with family are some of the top on her list. Oh, and she really likes mowing the lawn and working in gardens. Go figure.

Her work experience includes landscaping, janitorial, marketing internship, receptionist, BYU student, cashier, assistant office manager, and now freelance writing. Not at all exciting, but definitely a part of who she is today. Of all those jobs her favorite experience was landscaping. You can't beat working outside in the sun, even pulling weeds was not at all bad.

She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She currently teaches Sunday School, ages 15-17 and has never been more intimidated in her life. She believes life is short, days are long, and every minute counts. One of her favorite quotes is: "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how," by Friedrich Nietzsche.

Some things you may not know about her: she played viola through junior high and high school and she still has it hidden under her bed, she is half Canadian, she has only broken one bone (maybe two), in high school she competed in every women's event at a State level over the course of four years, and she has a basketball card collection.
