Spencer's Birthday Revisited

As it turned out the celebrations did not end with the mere chalking of the driveway--I knew it wouldn't. Birthdays must be celebrated, and in our small family, the best way to celebrate is with good food. When it comes to food neither of us is very picky, which is nice. But it also makes it difficult to choose where to eat. Often I feel like we are the buzzards from the Jungle Book, perched in our dead tree of a living room, saying "Hey, waddayou wanna do?" "I don't know. Waddayou wanna do?" This can somtimes go on for almost an hour until our primal stomach growls prod us into action.

On birthdays, this is a different story. There is one place, and one place only, that is worthy to help us celebrate our birthdays. That place is Tucanos.
Spencer and I have both loved Tucanos since the first time we ate there. Then, as fate would so casually have it, Tucanos turned out to be the most reasonably priced venue for our Wedding Lunchin. Now, on the month of our birthdays' both of us recieve a buy one meal get one free coupon. You betcha we eat there every birthday with food, service, and savings like that.
This year we took along some members of my family to celebrate and had a rockin' and roarin' good time.
This year Spence also made friends with the waitress by taking sides with her in the Mexico vs. Argentina debate (Spen served in Mexico and my lil Bro just got back from serving in Argentina) so he didnt have to shake, shake, shake it to the birthday song, but he did have to manage the tamberine.
All in all, it was the perfect way to end a very important Birthday.

Though it might not be obvious in this picture, behind those smiles, both of us are thinking, "Yeesh I ate way to much, just hurry up and take that photo so we can stop holding our breath and let our stomachs hang over our belts."
